[Adaptive Mobile]: Survey Shows Parents will Pay for Mobile Child Protection VAS

 
A survey by AdaptiveMobile finds that "Parents want services from operators to safeguard their children online and would be willing to pay an additional £5 a month for protection against inappropriate content, sexting and cyberbullying .. two thirds (65%) of UK parents are concerned about their children’s safety on mobiles and with these devices frequently representing a ‘black hole’ for monitoring, these worries are well placed. Whereas desktop and laptop PCs are frequently used in the lounge or under parental supervision, smartphones can access the web anywhere, leaving parents struggling to control or monitor these channels".

"In total, operators could be missing out on £4 million of revenue per month providing such premium services but also enhancing parental control and loyalty".
